Surgery

We offer a vast range of elective surgical procedures from castrations to arthroscopy. Our in-house vets perform highly advanced procedures. For more specialist surgeries, we collaborate with the University of Dublin Veterinary College (UCD) and other specialists.

Pre-Purchase Exams

Our vets perform in excess of 500 vettings each year. These include PPEs for local and foreign buyers as well as for auction sales. Each PPE is tailored to the buyer’s requirements, with radiography, endoscopy and ultrasonography as potential add-ons.

Routine Care

Routine examinations and preventative medicine are what keeps your horse, pony and donkey healthy. From newborn care to senior horse medicine, we have it covered. We offer a plethora of routine services at your yard or at our clinic.

Dentistry

We offer a referral service for advanced dental procedures. We also provide routine dental care for existing dentistry clients. We happily collaborate with your recognised Equine Dental Technician offering chemical restraint and veterinary opinion/referral where needed.

Reproduction

Our team offers expert reproductive care and short-term boarding for mares and foals at our dedicated, separate facility ‘Tullyraine House Stud’. We prepare the mares for walk-ins at stud or cover them by fresh or frozen insemination with semen of your chosen stallion.

Diagnostics

We have an extensive range of high-quality diagnostic imaging and laboratory tools available to aid us in reaching accurate diagnoses. Most of these are portable and can be used in your yard as well as at the clinic.

Treatments

A wide variety of disease and condition specific treatments are available at Tullyraine Equine Clinic. These range from medical treatments to biologics and surgery to shockwave. Once we have a diagnosis, we can prescribe the right treatment and rehab for your horse.

OOH Emergencies

We are proud to continue to provide our own Out-Of-Hours Emergency service for own clients and take referrals by your local vet. Our vets take turns to cover the evenings and weekends, so you will always see a familiar vet who will know your horse’s clinical history.
