Hugh SuffernHugh Suffern, MVB, MRCVS, Practice Partner

Hugh graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1981 and has since had a very full career in the equine world. His keen interest in equine sports medicine and his own experiences as a competitor at four star level eventing were the perfect grounding for looking after equine athletes.

When not at work Hugh cycles, mountain bikes, and enjoys fell running. He accompanies his wife, Alison, and children Rachael and Robert to events and working hunter shows.

Inge D'HaeseInge D’Haese, MRCVS, Practice Partner

Inge graduated with a specialization in Equine Medicine in 1998 from the University Ghent, Belgium. She worked for two years in mixed practice before going to Australia to work the breeding season at Alabar, where she gained experience in general fertility, stud and foal medicine, artificial insemination and embryo transfer. In 2001 she returned to Ireland to work for Tullyraine Equine Clinic and looked after the reproductive and foal work at Tullyraine House Stud for ten seasons. Though still doing some of the stud work, she now dedicates herself to surgery and sports medicine.  She was team vet for the Irish Young Riders Eventing Team from 2004-2006. In 2007 she was appointed by the Turf Club to represent them as Veterinary Officer at point to points. In 2012 she secured a position within the Turf Club as Racecourse Veterinary Officer. Off duty Inge takes her dogs for runs, enjoys photography and loves mountain- and road biking.

Helen Webster, BVSc, MRCVS, Assistant

Helen graduated in 2007 from the University of Liverpool. She spent 3 years in mixed practice before completeing an equine internship at Liphook Equine Hospital. Following this, Helen worked as an ambulatory vet at Arundel Equine Hospital, during which time she worked as a treating vet at Hickstead FEI events and as a race course vet at tracks in the South of England. In 2014 Helen moved to Australia to complete a stud season at Scone Equine Hospital. Helen joined our team in February 2015 and is currently studying towards an RCVS certificate in advanced equine practice. During her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, riding and taking her dog out.

Andrea GilpinAndrea Gilpin - Accounts Manager

Andrea graduated in 1997 from Leicester University with a degree in Zoology. She applied for a job with Hugh in Tullyraine House Stud and Equine Clinic soon after and started working there in 1998. Up until that time, she competed in showing, dressage and eventing. She represented Northern Ireland in BSPS and Ponies UK working hunter shows, obtained Reserve Place in the prestigious Silver Spur competition and went on to represent Great Britain at BUSA as a student rider. Andrea hung up the riding boots after graduating, but has since very successfully been competing in dog training and agility. At work she looks after the accounts at Tullyraine Equine Clinic Llp.

John McCrackenJohn Mc Cracken - Reception and invoicing

John joined our team in 2002 and has been the friendly phone voice and welcoming reception face of Tullyraine Equine Clinic Llp since. We are extremely grateful that he retired from his previous life in the civil service and is now using all the core skills he acquired there to keep all our diaries, accounts and paperwork in good order. John is always up for a chat and a laugh and keeps us sane when things are hectic. He truly is the backbone of our practice.

Marnie  MurphyMarnie Murphy - Stud Manager Tullyraine House Stud

Marnie has showjumped, showed, hunted, trained point to pointers and even was an amateur jockey riding in point to points. She started working at Tullyraine House Stud in 2000 and knows everything there is to know about the performances of the stallions and mares that have been at the stud and their respective offspring. Not only does she keep track of all that is to do with the reproduction of the mares, she also keeps the stud in neat and clean working order. She follows racing and point to points. Currently she is breeding several thoroughbred and pony mares, whose youngstock she breaks and produces for sale.

Marnie  MurphyElaine Brown - Staff and Clinic Manager

Elaine joined the Tullyraine Equine Clinic team in 2010 and has been a vital asset. She graduated from University of Ulster with a BA Business Studies with Personell Management and obtained several diplomas. At Tullyraine she looks after the inpatients, manages anaesthetics during surgical procedures and takes radiographs as well as keeping students and part time staff on their toes. She holds stage three BHS diploma and attained her PTT and is on the register of instructors. Huskies are another passion of Elaine's, which she has successfully bred and shown in the past.
